ABSTRACT A process for preparing an O,O-dialkyl phthalimido- phosphonothioate which comprises reacting a phthalic anhy- dride with an O,O-dialkyl phosphoramidothioate in presence of a tertiary amine as catalyst. The products are known to be useful as pesticides, particularly for control of fungi attacking plants.
