ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Process for preparing an organosilicon product by the reaction of a silicon compound having ?SiH groups with an organic or organosilicon compound having aliphatic unsaturation in the molecule. The process is carried out in the presence of, as catalyst, a compound or complex of platinum or rhodium and also in the presence of a cobalt salt of a monocarboxylic acid. The cobalt salt improves the catalytic performance of the compound or complex of platinum or rhodium.
