A process of preparing poly(trimethylene terephthalate) containing less than 2.0 mole % of DPG comprising: (a) providing a molar amount of 1,3-propanediol: C1 to C4 dialkyl ester of terephthalic acid of 1.2:1 to 1.9:1, (b) reacting the 1,3-propanediol with the C1 to C4 dialkyl ester of terephthalic acid to form bis(3-hydroxypropyl)terephthalate monomer in the presence of 10-100ppm (as titanium metal) of an organic titanate catalyst, by weight of the poly(trimethylene terephthalate), and (c) polymerizing the bis(3- hydroxypropyl)terephthalate monomer to obtain the poly(trimethylene terephthalate); and poly(trimethylene terephthalate) produced by the process.
L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation du poly(terephtalate triméthylène) contenant moins de 2, 0 mol % de DPG, comprenant: (a) fournissant une quantité molaire de propanediol 1,3: C¿1? à C¿4? ester dialkyle d'acide téréphtalique de 1,2: 1 à 1, 91, (b) faisant réagir le propanediol avec les ester dialkyle d'acide téréphtalique C¿1? à C¿4? pour former un monomère téréphtalate bis(hydroxypropyle 3 en présence de 10-100mg/l (comme le titane) d'un catalyseur organique de titanate, par poids du poly(téréphtalate triméthylène), et en (c) polymérisant les monomères de téréphtalate bis(hydropropyle 3) afin d'obtenir le poly(téréphtalate triméthylène); et le poly(téréphtalate triméthylène) produit par ce procédé.
