A B S T R A C T A novel composition incorporating a topically active steroid and neomycin is disclosed. This composition is typically prepared by gelling an alcoholic solution of the steroid with hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and add- ing thereto an aqueous solution of a neomycin salt. The pH may be adjusted to 4-5.
