A B S T R A C T PREPARING A GASEOUS FEED FOR A GAS TREATING PLANT Preparing a gaseous hydrocarbon-containing feed for a gas treating plant comprises a) supplying heated raw gas and heated raw liquid to a separation vessel (3); b) passing a gaseous stream and a liquid stream from the separation vessel (3) to a main distil- lation column (10) producing a gaseous product and a liquid prod- uct; c) heating the liquid product, returning part thereof to the main distillation column (10) as stripping agent and separating in a subsidiary distillation column (38) the C5+ fraction from the remainder; and d) condensing in cooler (18) part of the gaseous product to produce a hydrocarbon-containing liquid which is re- turned as reflux and a gaseous stream which is supplied through a conduit (20) to the gas treating plant.
