Abstract of the Disclosure A wood preservative effective against blue stain is prepared by reacting a fatty acid of 4-11 carbonations with alkali compound used in stoichiometric excess. The resulting reaction product is readily soluble in water, and the resulting solution can be applied by spraying onto the wood or be used as a bath into which wood is dipped. - 1 -
