ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Hair and body care products containing a combination of (A) a physiologically compatible salt of formic acid, (B) sorbic acid and/or a physiologically compatible salt thereof, and (C) one or more physiologically compatible inorganic or saturated aliphatic organic acids and the use of this combination of components in order to preserve such care products. The new hair and body care products are not only well preserved but also extremely well tolerated.
