ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Polysiloxane emulsions, useful for treating tissues to improve tactile characteristics, are effectively preserved with at least about 0.1 weight percent of methyl p-hydroxybenzoate. Preferably the preservative further contains one or more p-hydroxybenzoate esters and 2-phenoxyethanol and/or ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid. - 10 -
