A B S T R A C T At a press for pressing wood fibre products a closed space between the press plate, press sheet and seal- ing strip can be subjected to a vacuum and is substant- ially filled with a body permitting air passage there- through, for example in the form of a woven metal network or a compensation wire, whereby a.o. fitting problems are reduced and a better heat distribution is obtained.
