In order to solve the problems relating to the workability of work represented by that of carrying in and out of a pressing die, a, press unit is provided to comprise a bed with an approximately rectangular shape in a plan view for mounting a pressing die with a shape of approximately rectangular solid, two or three columns each made stand from the bed for supporting a crown on a top thereof, a ram provided between the two or three columns and vertically moving up and down along the columns for applying a pressure to the pressing die, and a plurality of rollers mounted at each end of the ram relative to the column for vertically moving the ram up and down along the column intervening the rollers.
