A pressing tool for pressing tubular nested work- pieces, in particular a pips end upon which is slid a press fitting, has several pressing jaw elements which bear pressing jaws with a continuous circumferential pressing groove shaped in their inner side. In order to ensure mounting safes during pressing without affecting the tightness, a pressing land (65) extends along only one side of the pressing groove (63), and a template (44) which fits over the nested workpiece (1) but not over the slid-on workpiece (2) is arranged towards the other side of the groove.
