The pressure element is designed for gluing a bandlike covering by means of an adhesive onto a narrow face (edge) of straight or curved (profiled) cross section of a board element or for gluing a film onto a profile bar having a surface of straight or profiled cross section. The pressure element has an elastically deformable pressure face. High adhesive bonding strength and high surface quality are achieved in a simple, uncomplicated and cost-effective way by means of only a few pressure elements.
