ABSTRACT The servomotor arrangement has a moving system (2) comprising a piston movable in a cylinder. A latching or retaining member (110) movable transversely of the direction of movement of the system (2) is provided to retain or latch the moving system. The latching member (110) is in operative connection with an end face (11) bounding a pressure chamber (12), and the pressure chamber (12) is in communication by way of a stop member (61) with a source of pressurized medium and with a pressurized medium sink. The latching or retaining member is therefore controllable, a feature which has advantages for the operating behaviour of the servomotor arrangement.
