ABSTRACT A pressure monitoring device comprising indicator means (3) which is slidably movable within a tubular housing (1) in dependance upon a pressure being monitored by the device and which is viewable through a transparent section (23) of the housing (1), wherein said indicator means (3) is graduated by different colours (17, 18, 19) or shades of colour representative of pressure to be monitored. The indicator means (3) may be slidably movable within the housing (1) against a spring (4) bias and the colours or shades of colour of the indicator means (3) may be in the form of gradua- tion bands (17,18,19) of different colours or shades of colour representing respective predetermined pressures or pressure ranges to be monitored. The preferred embodi- ment is in the form of a tyre pressure monitor.
