The guide wire comprises a shaft (1) with a lumen (4) extending therethrough. The distal area (3) of the shaft has three openings (6) for the entry of pressure waves into the lumen. The openings (6) are distributed along a helical path by 120° shifts in the transverse direction (7) and by shifts corresponding substantially to the length of the openings (6) in the longitudinal direction (8).

Guide-cathéter constitué par un corps (1) comportant sur toute sa longueur une lumière (4). La partie distale (3) du corps (1) présente trois ouvertures (6) permettant l'entrée des pulsations de pression dans la lumière. Ces ouvertures (6) sont réparties sur une courbe hélicoïdale, à 120o d'intervalle dans le sens transversal (7) et à intervalles correspondant à peu près à la longueur des ouvertures dans le sens longitudinal (8).
