Apparatus for pebbling curling ice comprises a pressure can divided into two compartments one of which has an inlet for air under pressure and the other of which includes a screw cap opening so that it can be filled with water. A pressure regulator controls the supply of air from the air compartment to the water compartment so that the air is supplied under constant pressure allowing water to be discharged under constant pressure through a hose to a bulb shaped pebbling head.
