Abstract Normally tacky and pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, labels, etc. which, after being adhered to dry fibrous webs, remain firmly attached when the web and adhesive are exposed to moist conditions. These per- formance characteristics, which are not found when con- ventional pressure-sensitive adhesives are used, result from employing acrylate-based copolymer adhesives made from specific monomers and having inherent viscosities related to the monomers employed.
