Pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprising (i) a transparent carrier film and (ii) a layer of a transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive, characterized in that - the carrier film has a refractive index n d20 of not more than 1.458 and a transmittance of greater than or equal to 90%, - the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer has a refractive index n d20 of at least 1.470 and a transmittance of at least 90%; - the transmittance of the adhesive tape in the bonded state on a glass plate is at least 90%.
