ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Pressure-sensitive adhesives having improved cohesive strength are obtained by reacting an acrylic interpolymer containing an interpolymerized acrylic monomer containing an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride with a metal alkoxide, chelated metal alkoxides such as chelated titanium esters being particularly preferred. Adhesives produced in this manner have improved cohesive strength on backings while main- taining good tack and adhesive properties.
