ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Pressure sensitive imaging materials are colorless until pressure addressed, but thereafter provide an intense dark image. The materials comprise white ferric organophosphate, ferric organophosphinate, or ferric organophosphonate and a colorless chelate. The choice of substituents on the chelate nucleus can give images with both good discrimination visually and to near infrared radiation (NIR).
