ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE: There is provided a solvent for pressure-sensitive recording material, which comprises a mixture of 1-isopropyl- phenyl-2-phenylethane with diisopropylnaphthalene and/or partially hydrogenated terphenyl, and a pressure-sensitive recording material, a sheet of which is coated with microcapsules containing therein the solvent, showing a sufficient rate of colour development and an acceptable colour density under severe environmental conditions such as very cold conditions as well as hot and humid conditions.
