A gas delivery system for propane or natural gas includes a gas service line, a pressure regulator connected in the gas service line, and a flow control valve device permanently installed at a predetermined location in the gas service line, e.g., upstream of the regulator or downstream of a gas meter in the case of a natural gas system. The flow control valve device includes a valve body incorporating an integral pressure tap for enabling a measurement of gas pressure at the predetermined locations. The valve device also includes a valve operator having an open position in which flow takes place through the valve device and a closed position in which flow through the valve device is blocked and a locking mechanism with a specialized key issued only to service personnel for selectively locking the valve operator in the open and closed positions.
L'invention concerne un système d'alimentation en gaz (propane ou gaz naturel) constitué d'une conduite d'alimentation en gaz, d'un régulateur de pression installé sur la conduite d'alimentation ainsi que d'un régulateur de débit installé de façon permanente à un endroit donné sur la conduite d'alimentation en gaz (p. ex. en amont du régulateur ou en aval d'un compteur de gaz, dans le cas d'un circuit d'alimentation en gaz naturel). Le régulateur de débit est constitué d'un corps de vanne comprenant un raccordement sous pression intégré afin de permettre de mesurer la pression du gaz aux endroits déterminés. Le régulateur comprend également une tige de commande assortie d'une position ouverte permettant de laisser le gaz circuler et une position fermée permettant d'interrompre la circulation du gaz. De plus, le régulateur comprend un dispositif de verrouillage en position ouverte ou fermée exigeant l'utilisation d'une clé spécialisée pour modifier la position du clapet.
