This invention concerns a transducer comprising a layer of active material and a backing plate. The backing plate has first and second major surfaces. A layer of active material is affixed to the first surface. The transducer also includes a region adjacent to the second major surface into which region the backing plate can be deflected. The region is substantially isolated from any external pressure incident on the layer of active material. Moreover, the backing plate and/or layer of active material is of a non-uniform thickness. Preferably, the backing plate is thicker at a central region thereof than at an edge region thereof.
Cette invention concerne un transducteur comprenant une couche de matière active et une plaque de support. La plaque de support comprend une première et une deuxième surfaces principales. Une couche de matière active est fixée à la première surface. Le transducteur comprend également une zone adjacente à la deuxième surface principale dans laquelle la plaque de support peut être déviée. La zone est sensiblement isolée de tout incident de pression extérieure sur la couche de matière active. De plus, la plaque de support et/ou la couche de matière active est d'une épaisseur non uniforme. De préférence, la plaque de support est plus épaisse dans sa partie centrale que dans sa partie d'extrémité.
