Abstract A pressure valve for a compressor comprises a valve plate (1) and upstanding pins (21, 22) on which at least one catch plate (35) is placed to limit the stroke of a valve leaf spring (25). The valve seat (6) is disposed in an elongate depression (2) of the valve plate (1). The pins (21, 22) are formed on an insert (17) which is sprung into the depression (2). In this way, the pins (21, 22) can be securely held in the depression (2) having only a thin base (4). Single figure.
