ABSTRACT A pressurized fluidized bed furnace which has a combustion chamber that is arranged within a pressure container. The pressure container is provided with an air feed connector and an air exhaust connector. An air preheater is connected at the inlet side with the air exhaust connector and at the outlet side with an air line that passes through the pressure container and opens out in the air box of the combustion chamber. A pilot burner is arranged outside the pressure container and the outlet end of this is connected with a line that is arranged coaxially within the air line which opens out into the air box.
