IR 4975 Abstract of Disclosure The present invention relates to a pretreatment composition for dishware which comprises a thickening agent; a calcium compound; a preservative; a buffer system; at least one detergent active material; at least one stabilizer; at least one enzyme, an alkali metal nitrate; and water, wherein the composition at a concentration of 10 grams of said composition in one liter of an aqueous bath has a pH of about 6 to about 12.
