The present invention provides a method, system, and computer program product for preventing a browser from loading content from undesirable sources. A method in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention includes: selecting an area of a web page containing undesirable content; substituting an alternate Internet Protocol (IP) address for a hostname of a website that provided the undesirable content based on a profile; and redisplaying the web page with content from the alternate IP address displayed in the selected area of the web page.

L'invention concerne un procédé, un système, et un programme informatique destinés à empêcher un navigateur de télécharger un contenu provenant de sources indésirables. Un procédé selon un mode de réalisation de l'invention consiste notamment à sélectionner une zone d'une page web renfermant un contenu indésirable; à substituer une autre adresse de protocole d'Internet à un nom d'hôte d'un site web qui a fourni le contenu indésirable sur la base d'un profil; et à réafficher la page web renfermant un contenu de l'autre adresse IP affichée dans la zone sélectionnée de la page web.
