A nutritional composition comprising a partially hydrolysed milk protein having a degree of hydrolysis between 15 and 25% and 50 to 1000 nanograms of TGF-.beta. per 100ml of ready to consume composition and methods for the primary prevention of allergic reactions to newly introduced dietary protein at weaning and the prevention of development of atopic diseases in a young mammal at weaning comprising feeding to the young mammal a therapeutic amount of the composition are disclosed.
L'invention concerne une composition nutritionnelle comprenant une protéine de lait partiellement hydrolysée ayant un degré d'hydrolyse compris entre 15 et 25 % et comportant 50 à 1 000 nanogrammes de TGF-ß pour 100 ml de composition prête à consommer, et des procédés de prévention primaire contre des réactions allergiques à une protéine alimentaire nouvellement introduite lors du sevrage et de prévention du développement de maladies atopiques chez un jeune mammifère lors du sevrage comprenant le fait de nourrir le jeune mammifère avec une quantité thérapeutique de la composition.
