The present invention relates to a method for preventing, treating, or ameliorating arterial restenosis after angioplasty in an animal by administering to the animal active vitamin D compounds. The invention further relates to a method for preventing, treating, or ameliorating restenosis after angioplasty in an animal by administering to the animal active vitamin D compounds in combination with other therapeutic agents. A further aspect of the invention is a method for preventing, treating, or ameliorating stenosis within and/or around an arterial bypass graft in an animal comprising administering to the animal an active vitamin D compound.
Cette invention concerne une méthode de prévention, de traitement ou d~amélioration du traitement de la resténose artérielle après une angioplastie réalisée sur un animal, en administrant à l~animal des composés actifs de vitamine D. En outre, cette invention concerne également une méthode de prévention, de traitement ou d~amélioration du traitement de la resténose après une angioplastie exécutée sur un animal, en administrant à l~animal des composés actifs de vitamine D combinés à d~autres agents thérapeutiques. Un autre aspect de cette invention consiste en une méthode de prévention, de traitement ou d~amélioration du traitement de la sténose au cours et/ou avant et après une transplantation par pontage artériel chez un animal, incluant l~administration à l~animal d~un composé actif de vitamine D.
