A preventive and/or therapeutic agent for kidney diseases, containing as the active ingredient a tumor cytotoxic factor II (TCF-II) mutant which has undergone point mutation. The mutant is TCF-II wherein the Arg-Lys-Arg-Arg amino acid sequence beginning at the second position from the N-terminal is replaced by Ala-Ala-Ala-Ala or the Lys-Ile-Lys-Thr-Lys-Lys amino acid sequence beginning at the 27th position therefrom is replaced by Ala-Ile-Ala-Thr-Ala- Ala.

L'invention concerne un agent préventif et/ou thérapeutique pour les maladies des reins contenant, en tant que principe actif, un mutant de facteur II cytotoxique des tumeurs ayant subi une mutation ponctuelle. Le mutant est un TCF-II dans lequel la séquence d'acides aminés Arg-Lys-Arg-Arg commençant en position deux à partir de la terminaison N est remplacée par Ala-Ala-Ala-Ala ou la séquence d'acides aminés Lys-Ile-Lys-Thr-Lys-Lys commençant en position 27 à partir de ladite terminaison est remplacée par Ala-Ile-Ala-Thr-Ala-Ala.
