It is intended to provide a preventive and/or a remedy for neuropathic pain which contains as the active ingredient a compound having antagonism to histamine H3 receptor such as a compound represented by the following general formula (II) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof: (II) wherein W represents a group capable of imparting an antagonistic activity and/or an agonistic activity to histamine H3 receptor when attached to the 4- or 5- position of an imidazole ring; and R3 and R4 are the same or different and each represents optionally substituted lower alkyl, etc.
L'invention concerne un médicament préventif ou curatif pour les douleurs névropathiques, qui contient en tant que principe actif un composé présentant un antagonisme vis-à-vis du récepteur de l'histamine H3, par exemple un composé représenté par la formule générale (II) suivante, ou un sel pharmacologiquement acceptable de ce composé : (II). W représente un groupe capable de produire un effet antagoniste et/ou un effet agoniste vis-à-vis du récepteur de l'histamine H3 lorsqu'il est attaché en position 4 ou 5 d'un noyau imidazole, et R?3¿ et R?4¿ peuvent être semblables ou différents l'un de l'autre et représentent chacun un alkyle inférieur éventuellement substitué etc.
