Novel agents for relieving drug-induced nephropathy and acute hepatitis, containing proteins belonging to the midkine (MK) family, e.g., pleiotrophin (PTN). The proteins belonging to the MK family can inhibit nephropathy induced by antineoplastic agents such as cisplatin or acute hepatitis due to carbon tetrachloride, thus being effective in relieving drug-induced nephropathy or hepatitis.
Nouveaux agents pour traiter les néphropathies et les hépatites aiguës d'origine médicamenteuse, comprenant des protéines de la famille des midkines (MK), p. ex la pléiotrophine (PTN). Les protéines de la famille MK sont capables d'inhiber la néphropathie causée par des agents antinéoplasiques tels que le cisplatine, et l'hépatite aiguë causée par le tétrachlorure de carbone. Ils sont donc efficaces pour traiter les néphropathies et les hépatites d'origine médicamenteuse.
