Preventives/remedies for cholinergic neuropathy which contain as the active ingredient a drug capable of increasing the choline transporter count on the cell membrane surface of cholinergic neurons or a drug capable of acting on intracellular localized changes in choline transporters and thus increasing the choline transporter count on the cell membrane surface. Thus, it becomes possible to provide drugs allowing epoch making administration on the basis of the drug effect mechanism (namely, administration twice or less per day without considering the blood half-time of the drug). Thus, the compliance of a patient with a need for the drug therapy can be improved and the load of a caregiver can be relieved.

L'invention concerne des compositions prophylactiques/thérapeutiques destinées à la neuropathie cholinergique et contenant, en tant qu'ingrédient actif, un médicament permettant d'augmenter le nombre de transporteurs de choline sur la surface membranaire des cellules de neurones cholinergiques, ou un médicament permettant d'agir sur les changements localisés intracellulaires dans les transporteurs de choline, d'où une augmentation du nombre de transporteurs de choline sur la surface membranaire des cellules. Par conséquent, il est possible de produire des médicaments permettant une administration révolutionnaire sur la base du mécanisme d'action du médicament (administration au maximum deux fois par jour sans prise en compte de la demi-vie plasmatique du médicament). On peut ainsi améliorer l'observance d'un patient nécessitant un tel traitement, ce qui permet d'alléger la charge du médecin.
