The invention concerns a primary target for producing by neutron irradiation in a nuclear reactor molybdenum-99 fissile products with high concentration levels, high specific activities and high degree of purity, from a uranium based fissile material, characterised in that the fissile material consists for the most part, in mass, of uranium nitride. The primary target, after neutron irradiation, is designed to supply pure molybdenum-99 suited for use in a technetium-99 generator for medical research and/or diagnosis and/or industrial research.

Cible primaire pour la production par irradiation neutronique dans un réacteur nucléaire de produits de fission molybdène-99 à de fortes concentrations, de fortes activités spécifiques et de haut degré de pureté, à partir d'une matière fissile à base d'uranium, qui se caractérise en ce que la matière fissile est majoritairement constituée, en masse, de nitrure d'uranium. La cible primaire, après irradiation neutronique, est destinée à la fourniture de molybdène-99 pur appropriée à son utilisation dans un générateur de technécium- 99 à des fins de recherches et/ou de diagnostics médicaux et/ou industriels.
