An adhesive composition comprising (A) 98 to 60 parts by weight of a polymerizable monomer mixture containing 2 to 25 % by weight of a monomer having acidic group, (B) 2 to 40 parts by weight of a polymer, preferably a polymer which can form a solution or dispersion having the property that the solution or dispersion of 10 parts by weight of the polymer in 90 parts by weight of methyl methacrylate shows a viscosity of 100 cps or less at 25 C, and (C) 0.01 to 35 parts by weight of a polymerization initiator, provided that the total amount of the components (A), (B) and (C) is 100 parts by weight. According to the present invention, there can be provided an adhesive composition which is easy to handle for the restoration treatment of a tooth, so that adhesion dental treatment can be reliably carried out.
