-30- PRIMER COMPOSITIONS FOR IMPROVING ADHESION OF ABRASION RESISTANT SILICONE COATINGS TO PLASTIC SURFACES Abstract Primer compositions are disclosed for improving the adhesion of abrasion resistant polysiloxane coatings to plastic substrates. The primers contain a thermosettable acrylic resin, an aminofunctional organosilicon compound, and optionally an ultraviolet light screening compound. A process employing the primer compositions to provide more durable adhesion of transparent, abrasion resistant polysiloxane coatings on plastic substrates is also disclosed.
