A process using polymerize chain reaction (PCR) technology is described for the detection of spore forming bacteria in paper products and paper manufacturing streams and additives. Disclosed and claimed are novel nucleotide primers which specifically amplify sporulation genes common to spore forming bacteria. These primers produce gene fragments diagnostic for the presence of spore forming bacteria.

L'invention concerne un procédé faisant appel à la technologie de la réaction en chaîne de la polymérase pour détecter des bactéries sporulées dans des produits de papier et dans des courants et additifs de systèmes de fabrication de papier. L'invention traite de nouvelles amorces de nucléotides qui amplifient particulièrement les gènes de la sporulation communs aux bactéries sporulées. Ces amorces produisent des fragments de gènes permettant de diagnostiquer la présence de bactéries sporulées.
