-1- Abstract: The illustrated ink jet includes a chamber containing a quantity of ink discharged through a nozzle orifice in the form of droplets. The ink is discharged in response to movement of an actuator positioned over a chamber opening. The actuator includes a piezoceramic plate, the surfaces of which are covered by electrodes. Soldered to the electrode is a bending plate which is secured by adhesive to a flexible sheet of insulating material. Control signals are fed through conductors to the electrodes.
