PRINT WHEEL ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A print wheel comprising of central hub and a plurality of character support members extending radially from said central hub, each support member including a base portion and a character element having an impacting surface of predetermined area and a side wall extending from the base portion to the impacting surface. At least one of the character elements has an impacting surface area less than a predetermined amount and at least one other of the character elements has an impacting surface area greater than said predetermined amount. The side wall of said at least one character element has a slope which is less than the slope of the side wall of said at least one other character element.
