In a printable substrate, particularly a paper-based substrate, improved printing quality, good print protection from water and frictional wear is achieved in that a support layer (12) has one print fixing layer (11) on at least one side and a film-forming organic pigment and a filmable coating (10) containing a binding agent are placed on the print fixing layer (11). The structure makes it possible to especially use low melting point organic pigments and enables simpler filming while preserving the flatness of the substrate.

Selon l'invention, on obtient, pour un substrat en particulier à base de papier, une qualité d'impression élevée, une bonne protection de l'impression contre l'eau et l'effacement par frottement, par le fait qu'une couche support (12) présente, au moins sur un côté, une couche de fixation d'impression (11), et que, sur cette couche de fixation d'impression (11), est placé un revêtement (10) pouvant être transformé en film, contenant des pigments organiques filmogènes et un liant. Cette structure permet l'utilisation de pigments organiques à bas point de fusion et permet de réaliser simplement la transformation en film tout en maintenant simultanément la planéité du substrat.
