ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A circuit fuse assembly designed to prevent damage to consumer electronic devices due to customer misuse. The fuse assembly comprises two fuses in series. The first fuse is readily accessible to the user and is set to open the circuit at a current level which protects the electrical product against an overload current condition. The second fuse is located in a position that is normally not accessible to the customer and is set with a current rating higher than the current rating of the more accessible fuse. Thus if a customer replaces the lower current rated, more accessible fuse, with a short circuit, or much higher current rated fuse, the less accessible fuse will still protect the circuit. In addition, if the second fuse burns out it will provide a permanent record of customer misuse.
