A unique packaging tape and a method of using the same is disclosed. The packaging tape comprises an elongated tape member having a bottom surface provided with an adhesive, and a top surface printed with information. The printed information contains information on products related to the product contained within the package which is constructed and closed using the inventive packaging tape. More particularly, the information on the tape comprises information which may in whole in part identified printed materials which have printed information relating to products about which the user of the tape wishes to inform potential consumers. Such information includes product information, as well as general information relating to solving practical problems. The tape is used to close packages containing goods related to the information on the tape, and the information thus serves as particularly well-targeted advertising, as it is sent to consumers of known products. At the same time the invention provides the advantage of low-cost as compared to dedicated printed packages.
