Title of the Invention PRINTER AND DISPLAY SYSTEM Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention is directed to a printer and display system wherein the images from an optical character generator are directed along two separate opti- cal paths. A planar light-to-heat transducer element is positioned in one of the optical paths to intercept the generated character images for thermal printing a permanent reproduction of the intercepted characters. A visual dis- play is positioned in the other optical path to intercept the generated character images for forming viewable images of the generated character images.
