In a printer device, an electric field, causing a cohesion region, is applied at the top ends of discharge electrodes, a spherical shaped pigment aggregate flies out from the top end of the discharge electrode, and fine pixels are formed on a recording medium despite long ink discharge cycles. When an electric field causing a condensation region is applied at the top ends of the discharge electrodes, a semispherical shaped or thick shell shaped pigment aggregate flies out from the top end of the discharge electrode. Since ink solvent containing the charged pigment particles flies out together with the semispherical shaped or thick shell shaped pigment aggregate, higher density pixels than that created by the cohesion region can be recorded with a high speed. Thus the condensation region is suitable for a solid print recording; whereby the printer device can achieve highly accurate results with a high gradation recording at a high speed.
