The present invention provides a newspaper printing ink that has rub off resistance; is fast drying on the paper; does not mist or dry on the press; offers excellent printability, high color strength, good water balance, and sharp half tone reproduction; and is relatively inexpensive. The present invention provides an ink concentrate suitable for preparing the printing ink, the ink concentrate comprising a colorant having a particle size of from about 0.01 µm to about 25 µm, a hydrocarbon resin, and a binder resin selected from the group consisting of a polyamide-oil polymer and a polyester-oil polymer. The present invention further provides a printing ink comprising a colorant having a particle size of from about 0.01 µm to about 25 µm, a vegetable oil, a polyamide-oil polymer, and a styrene-acrylic copolymer. The present invention further provides a printing ink comprising a naphthenic oil, a colorant having a particle size of from about 0.01 µm to about 25 µm, a hydrocarbon resin, and a polyester-oil polymer. The present invention further provides a continuous process for preparing the ink and the ink concentrate.
La présente invention concerne une encre destinée à l'impression de journaux et qui présente une résistance au frottement, sèche rapidement sur le papier, ne forme pas un brouillard d'encre ou ne sèche pas sur la presse, est parfaitement adaptée à l'impression, offre une grande intensité de couleur, possède un bon équilibre en eau ainsi que des qualités de reproduction exacte des demi-teintes, et est relativement bon marché. La présence invention concerne également un concentré d'encre conçu pour la préparation d'encre d'imprimerie et qui comporte un colorant dont la dimension des particules est comprise entre environ 0,01 µm et environ 25 µm, une résine d'hydrocarbure, ainsi qu'une résine liante choisie dans le groupe constitué par un polymère de polyamide/huile et par un polymère de polyester/huile. La présente invention concerne encore une encre d'imprimerie comportant un colorant dont la dimension des particules est comprise entre environ 0,01 µm et environ 25 µm, une huile végétale, un polymère de polyamide/huile et un copolymère de styrène acrylique, de même qu'une encre d'imprimerie comportant une huile naphténique, un colorant dont la dimension des particules est comprise entre environ 0,01µm et environ 25 µm, une résine d'hydrocarbure ainsi qu'un polymère de polyester/huile. En outre, la présence invention concerne un procédé de préparation en continu de cette encre et du concentré de celle-ci.
