A printing paper which comprises a pulp obtained by subjecting a mixed pulp containing one or more of a mechanical pulp, a semi-chemical pulp, a chemical pulp and a deinked pulp to a irradiation treatment with an ultraviolet ray and/or a visible light in the presence of at least one additive selected from the group consisting of a reducing agent, an oxidizing agent and a hydrogen- donating organic compound. The printing paper is significantly improved in fading characteristics.

La présente invention concerne un papier d'impression produit à partir d'une pâte à papier obtenue en appliquant à un mélange de pâte à papier fait d'au moins une pâte à papier mécanique, d'au moins une pâte à papier semi-chimique, d'au moins une pâte à papier chimique et d'au moins une pâte à papier désencrée, à un traitement d'exposition au rayonnement ultraviolet et/ou à la lumière visible, en la présence d'au moins un additif choisi dans le groupe comprenant un agent de réduction, un agent d'oxydation et un composé organique donneur d'hydrogène. Le papier d'impression a des caractéristiques significativement améliorées en ce qui concerne la dégradation des couleurs.
