Printing paper such as newspaper printing paper, the water absorption resistivity of which is controlled at a water droplet absorption degree of no less than 60 seconds by coating material for controlling water absorption resistivity on the surface of base paper, wherein the coating material contains component A which is at least one water-soluble polyacrylamide selected from nonionic polyacrvlamides, cationic polyacrylamides, and water-soluble polyacrylamides, and component B which is water-soluble anionic polymers of monomers having hydrophobic substitute(s) and monomers having at least carboxyl group(s) or sulfone group(s). The coating is formed by gate roll coating at a coating speed of 1,100-1,800 m/min and is preferably in the range of 0.1-0.3 g/m2 for one side.

Papier d'impression, comme du papier d'impression pour journaux, dont la résistance à l'absorption d'eau est contrôlée à un degré d'absorption de gouttelette d'eau d'au moins 60 secondes, grâce à un revêtement permettant de contrôler la résistance à l'absorption d'eau à la surface du papier support. Le revêtement renferme un constituant A, qui est au moins un polyacrylamide hydrosoluble, choisi parmi des polyacrylamides non ioniques, des polyacrylamides cationiques et des polyacrylamides hydrosolubles, et un constituant B formé de polymères anioniques hydrosolubles de monomères renfermant un ou des substituants hydrophobes, et de monomères renfermant au moins un ou des groupes carboxyle ou sulfone. Le revêtement est obtenu par couchage au rouleau avec porte, à une vitesse de couchage de 1100-1800 m/min, et de préférence à raison de 0,1-0,3 g/m2 sur l'un des côtés.
