The present invention relates to a printing process for the transfer of printing substance from an ink carrier onto an imprinting material, in which the printing substance undergoes a change in volume and/or position by means of an induced procedure of energy-releasing apparatus, and thereby a transfer of a printing point onto the imprinting material takes place. In order to provide a printing process and a printing machine which can be operated with very little energy, permit an easy refilling of the printing substance and additionally overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages, it is proposed according to the invention that the printing substance is applied essentially forming a continuous film on the ink carrier.

Procédé d'impression destiné au transfert de substance d'impression (8) d'un support d'encre (2) sur une matière à imprimer, selon lequel la substance d'impression (8) connaît une modification de volume et/ou de position sous l'effet d'un processus induit à l'aide d'un dispositif producteur d'énergie, ce qui entraîne le transfert d'un point d'impression sur la matière à imprimer. Selon la présente invention, la substance d'impression (8) est déposée sur le support d'encre (2) et y forme un film essentiellement continu, ce qui permet d'obtenir un procédé et une machine d'impression qui nécessitent très peu d'énergie, offrent une facilité de remplissage de la substance d'impression et évitent en outre les inconvénients cités.
