For the random connection of tracks coming together in a junction of a conveying system with push and pull operable conveying chains without return strand running in chain channels, a switch constructed as a straight prism (21) mounted in rotary manner is proposed. On its sides, this prism has different chain channel portions (23', 23"). By rotating prism (21) about its median longitudinal axis (22), that chain channel portion is positioned in the junction, which obtains the desired connection between the chain channel of an entering and an exiting track.
