A pro-angiogenic porous polymer scaffold is disclosed. The polymer has at least 20 mol-% monomeric subunits containing acidic functional groups, and has a porosity of at least 40%. The pores in the scaffold are interconnected. A method of making such a scaffold using a novel adaptation to the traditional solvent casting/particulate leaching technique technique is also disclosed. The scaffold may be used for tissue regeneration.

Le polymère possède au moins 20 % mole de sous-unités monomères contenant des groupes fonctionnels acides et présente une porosité d'au moins 40 %. Les pores de l'échafaudage sont interconnectés. L'invention présente aussi un procédé pour fabriquer un tel échafaudage en utilisant une nouvelle adaptation de la technique traditionnelle de fixation/lixiviation de particules par solvant. L'échafaudage peut être utilisé pour la régénération tissulaire.
